Agent Bio:

Meet Scott Nelms, an accomplished insurance professional with over four decades of experience and a passion for helping others. Born and raised in Orlando, FL, he loves the Florida sunshine and attended the University of Georgia before transferring to Florida State University, where he earned a BS in Business. Scott pursued his lifelong dream of becoming a USAF pilot, flying supersonic T-38s and later serving as an Aircraft Commander on KC-135s. After a cold stint at Minot AFB, ND, he returned to Florida.

He became a State Farm Agent in Mt. Dora and later an Agency Manager in Pinellas County, where his team ranked among the top 50 in the U.S. Scott transitioned to a "born again agent" role, focusing more on customer interactions rather than travel and meetings.

He is fortunate to have a fantastic staff and shares his home with his wife, their many rescue pets, and a passion for supporting no-kill animal shelters and other charities. Scott is also a Lifetime Member of the VFW and AMVets.
